Emely and Emilia's Second Blogs

Ms. Nakada did attendance. Then, we opened up our notebooks and did our agenda. We went over the quote of the week which was, "You will come away bruised./ You will come away bruised/ but this will give you poetry.” Yrsa Daley Ward Then everyone had to guess what this quote means. Then, we did our question of the week which was, "What is the most important thing you have learned about life from this time in distance learning?" Next, we went over the song of the week “A Change Is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke. Then, everyone had to put what this song was about and what was their favorite lyric was. Then, we went over three poems made by Langston Hughes called “Tired," "Dreams," and "Harlem." Everyone had to underline words. We read poems from Inside Out & Back Again. Then, class ended.
